Our tiny team here at Integrity Towers was surprised and flattered to be featured as this week’s Fabled Label in the national music industry trade magazine, Music Week. We never seek the limelight for ourselves – that’s for the talented bands and artists we help – but it’s always nice to see a little recognition for the hours of graft that we, and hundreds of other small labels, agents and managers, put in to try to bring those creative, talented musicians and songwriters to a wider audience.
So, thanks Music Week …
Today sees the European release of Nuclear Shockwave, the first single to be taken from Futur Primitif’s forthcoming long-player Machineteeth which will follow in March.
Futur Primitif is the new project from songwriter and singer Daniel Lefkowitz, former member of American indie-folk darlings The Low Anthem. Daniel (voice/guitar) is joined in Futur Primitif by Jared Elmore on synths, drum machine and a big mess of cables.
The single, like the album from which it’s taken, was produced by Ben Knox Miller of The Low Anthem. It has already enjoyed support from Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music), John Kennedy (XFM) and several DJs on Amazing Radio, together with a raft of glowing reviews.
“a heady mix of calm and chaos you won’t want to end” Electric-Banana
“Excellent” John Kennedy, XFM
“Exceptional … 5/5″ AAA Music
“Velvets go folk … very good” Paul Lester
“…dreamy indiefuzz” Pop Dodger
“a delightful taste of beautiful harmonies with bubbly sounds that will certainly bring a smile to your face whatever the weather” Mike Taylor, Amazing Radio

First up we’d like to thank all of you who bought our records, downloaded our tunes, came to our bands’ gigs, bought their T-shirts, watched and shared their videos, gave them a bed/floor for the night, blogged, tweeted or helped spread the word in any other way. We also owe gratitude to the likes of Steve Lamacq at BBC 6 Music, John Kennedy at XFM, Janice Long at Radio 2 and all the other DJs, writers and journalists who chose to play or review our releases out of the thousands that they receive every month.
2013 already looks like a really exciting year for us. We have the first Futur Primitif single (Nuclear Shockwave) out in January, Miniature Dinosaurs touring again in February, and the Futur Primitif album, Machineteeth, out in March. And that’s before we consider the long-awaited debut album from Miniature Dinosaurs, the follow-up album to Travis+Julie’s Moon Girl and the much-anticipated second album from theLIGHTS, plus (fingers crossed) an exciting new signing from Melbourne if things all go to plan.
BRING IT ON!!!
