Integrity News
Two new signings!

We’re ridiculously excited to announce two awesome new signings as both Horse Party and Silhouettes have this week joined the Integrity Records roster (or should that be stable?).

Horse Party by Kate Wood (1)

Horse Party, 2 girls and 1 boy from Bury St Edmunds Rock City, recently hatched a plan to release records that sound like no-one else and either make or lose a million pounds.  First single from forthcoming album “Cover Your Eyes” will be “What Do You Need”, released on November 11th, and they’ve just snuck out a video for it at Youtube – Horse Party – What Do You Need

More details about the single, the album and tons of gigs where you can catch the wonderful Horse Party live will be announced in the next few days.

Silhouettes4way

We’ve been stalking Wolverhampton’s Silhouettes for many months and they’ve finally relented, fallen for our ‘charms’ and agreed to release their outstanding debut album “Ever Moving Happiness Machines” with us early next year.  That will be preceded in November by the single “Gold Tag” which will gatecrash the party in your mind and never ever leave.

Grab a beer and preview the swaggering six-minute full length version of “Gold Tag” at Amazing Tunes: Gold Tag by Silhouettes

Now jump on    Twitter at @horsepartyparty and @silhouettesband

Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/horsepartyparty

And enjoy the ride!

Talking of rides (see what we did there?), Integrity Records are proud to announce that we’re now a major sponsor of those crazy, sweaty, music-loving pedal-bike boys at Manilla Cycling.

Futur Primitif – new single & video

Time is the new single by Futur Primitif, the band featuring songwriter and singer Daniel Lefkowitz, former member of American indie-folk darlings The Low Anthem.

Of all the tracks on Futur Primitif’s current album, the simple arrangement and haunting melancholy of Time most closely mirror the sound of the band for whom Daniel previously played guitar and wrote celebrated songs such as This God Damn House.

The video for Time, created by upcoming UK animator/illustrator Hughey Herbert (www.animatedhughey.com), is here:  Time on YouTube

Futur Primitif’s earlier singles, Nuclear Shockwave and Digital Space, enjoyed spot plays on 6 Music, XFM and Amazing Radio.

“Excellent” John Kennedy, XFM                            “Exceptional … 5/5″ AAA Music

”Velvets go folk … very good” Paul Lester            “…dreamy indiefuzz” Pop Dodger

Machineteeth, the band’s first album since teaming up with us here at Integrity, received a raft of positive reviews from tastemakers such as Musicosis through to tabloid champion The Sun.

“Very beautiful … 4/5”  The Sun

“A majestic album”  A Musical Priority

“Heart, passion and existential woe”  R2 Magazine

“Lyrics that chill and sounds that build a euphoric rush”  Musicosis

“A classic American rock vibe reminiscent of Dylan and Mellencamp”  Indie London

The Machineteeth album is available on a limited edition silk-screened cover CD in our online shop and as a download from iTunes, Amazon and the usual digital stores.

After a successful UK tour in May (including supporting John Grant at Shepherds Bush Empire) and video sessions featured on Line Of Best Fit, City Sessions and Songs From The Shed, Futur Primitif return to these shores to play 2 sets at the End of the Road Festival in Dorset on 31st August and a headline show at London’s Slaughtered Lamb on 4th September.

Festival Frolics

With the UK summer festival season in full swing, some of our bands are packing their wellies and guitars and heading out into fields across the country.

Miniature Dinosaurs follow their ace performance at the sold-out Belladrum Festival with an acoustic slot at the Amasing Festival in Strathpeffer (31st August/1st September) alongside the likes of Eddi Reader, The Winter Tradition and Fake Major.  Get more info at Amasing.co.uk

theLights have already played Lechlade Festival and Cock Rock.  This weekend (9th, 10th, 11th August) they play Lakefest in the Cotswolds, headlining the Globe Stage on the Friday night and then playing the main stage at 1pm on the Saturday. Get more info at Lakefest.co.uk

Futur Primitif‘s Daniel Lefkowitz returns to the scene of one of his most acclaimed UK shows on Friday 30th August with an appearance at the End of The Road Festival in Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset, with the likes of Sigur Ros, Belle and Sebastian and Dinosaur Jr playing over the weekend. Futur Primitif on Rough Trade Compilation

We’re delighted that Futur Primitif have been chosen to contribute a track to the brand new double album (CD and download) produced by the Rough Trade Record Shop to celebrate this year’s End Of The Road Festival.

RoughTradeComp_cover

Simon Taffe and his team started the EOTR festival in 2005 and Rough Trade was there with its first ever festival stall and have been there ever since. From the outset Simon attempted to create an independent festival with a strong ethos, a booking policy that avoided over hyped bands, where artists played longer than normal sets and a holistic approach to staffing, environment and facilities.

2013′s End Of The Road promises to be a heavy, intensely rewarding collective experience with Rough Trade favourites like Sigur Ros, Belle and Sebastian, Dinosaur Jr and David Byrne rubbing shoulders with exciting new artists like Savages, Charlie Boyer, Merchandise, Angel Olsen, Deptford Goth, our own Futur Primitif and many more.

See the full tracklisting and order the album from Rough Trade by clicking here: EOTR 2013
