Ghosts of Social Networks, the alter-ego of Manchester-based Nathan Till, turned musical heads from day one, with an April 2016 debut drawing immediate support from likes of 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and Amazing Radio.
Inspired by new wave, Nick Cave and The National, Nathan’s music is classic yet innovative and, with the addition of Ben Dargue (drums) and Andrea Gobbi (bass), GOSN create a stunning live sound.
The echoey chords and radio-friendly Manchester vibe of debut single ‘Love Potion’ received support from BBC 6 Music and several Triple-A stations in the USA, a live session on Fubar Radio and playlisting at Amazing Radio.
October’s follow-up, ‘Comeback Kid’, a retro-tinged, indie rock track with infectious choruses and soaring harmonies, was championed by the team at BBC Introducing Manchester.
Fresh out of Magic Garden Studio recording with producer Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Paolo Nutini, The Sherlocks), Ghosts of Social Networks kicked off 2017 with new single ‘No Going Back’ in February, followed by ‘Outside The Wheel’ and ‘If This Isn’t Love’ as the year progressed.
“A very embracing sound” – Steve Lamacq
“The band’s intrinsic sound is still one which proudly captures an essential Manchester vibe” – Louder Than War
